Adjustable Flintstone Gada – 15 to 17kg

£230.00£260.00

Our Flintstone gada is based upon our Angell gada, which is named after the late Steve Angell who asked BMF, back in in 2020, to create a large club inspired by old footage of Indian strong men.
The Flintstone gada is a less refined version of our Angell gada. It is an equal beast of a club, and can be seen as a cross between a heavy single club and a gada. Made from rustic red oak, the Flintstone gada also allows for an extra 3kg weight to be added to the base chamber by adding lead shot (available separately). At 3.5ft long, this shape is slightly shorter than a traditional gada, and combined with it’s bulk and thick grip, is a tricky beast to tame. One for experienced users only!
LENGTH: 1070mm (3.5ft)

Description

The original Angell Gada was named in memory of the late Steve Angell who asked me to create this club back in 2020 and we still make it as a premium UK-made product! Our Flintstone gada is a less refined, beast of a club – a cross between a heavy single club and a heavy gada. It is inspired by some rustic heavy clubs swung in India in times gone by (see black & white image), which had their inspiration from the legendary wrestler Great Gama.
Steve had a great passion for physical culture. His commitment, humility, and incredible displays of strength were revered by many across the global strength community. Steve was a man of his word – a humble, virtuous man, dedicated to his family. I have been in communication with Steve Angell’s widow, and she has kindly allowed me to name the Angell Gada in his memory. £15 of each sale will go to a charity who were really supportive to their two children during their time of grief. Here’s their link if you wish to know more about them or support them further www.harrysrainbow.co.uk.

Please note that this club has a rustic finish, and it has been crafted to a less ‘polished’ look than our other clubs and meels. This is due to the difficulty of working with such large pieces of timber, and with timber that has been air-dried as opposed to being dried in a kiln. Your Angell Gada is strong, functional, and will last many years when handled properly, but please have a look through the image gallery to make sure you are happy with the aesthetics before ordering.

Feel free to drop me a message if you’d like any further info, images, or a video of your club before I box it up. These are brilliant beasts where aesthetics are secondary to raw functionality.

These gadas are sourced from solid walnut logs and as such, carry a risk of small cracks appearing. These are considered cosmetic and can be easily fixed using carpenters wood glue.

I have both the 16kg rustic version and now the new 25kg one. Both incredible in their own ways but the new 25kg one is something else. Don’t sleep on these when they are available. Craftsmanship is second to none. Great service.
