Angell Gada+ (pre-loaded) – 20 to 25kg premium kiln-dried sapele
£430.00
This premium, UK hand-turned ‘monster’ is a more refined update to our original rustic version. Inspired by the late Steve Angell, this giant teardrop-shaped gada is for strong, experienced handlers only. At 3.5ft long, it is slightly shorter than a traditional 4′ gada. The shorter vectors and thicker grip make it a trickier beast to tame. Currently available as 20kg option with a hidden lead core.
LENGTH: 1070mm (3.5ft)
Available mid to late July 2024
The Angell Gada is named in memory of the late Steve Angell who asked me to create this club back in 2020. It is a beast of a club – a cross between a heavy single club and a heavy gada. It is inspired by some rustic heavy clubs swung in India in times gone by (see black & white image), which had their inspiration from the legendary wrestler Great Gama. Steve had a great passion for physical culture. His commitment, humility, and incredible displays of strength were revered by many across the global strength community.
Please note that this club is a more refined version of our original rustic Angell gada. It has been crafted from kiln-dried timber and given a most beautiful finish. However, it is still a brute of a club to wield and only suitable for the experienced and very strong user! Your Angell Gada+ will last many years when handled properly and may be treated to the odd coat of Danish oil if looking dull.
Feel free to drop me a message if you’d like any further info, images, or a video of your club before I box it up. These are brilliant beasts where aesthetics are secondary to raw functionality.
These gadas are sourced from solid walnut logs and as such, carry a risk of small cracks appearing. These are considered cosmetic and can be easily fixed using carpenters wood glue.
