THE KETTLEBELL GUIDE –
for the only home gym you will need…
The UK’s first digital full-colour magazine dedicated to training with kettlebells.
What are kettlebells?
Unlike traditional weights, the unique design of the kettlebell makes it more challenging to use as its weight is offset from the grip. A variety of dynamic and slow movements will improve functional all-round bodily strength, fitness and flexibility. It’s also reported that you can burn between 400-1,000 calories per kettlebell session making it the number one choice of equipment for personal trainers.
Kettlebells have featured in the most recent Rocky film, and celebrities such as Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez have included kettlebell routines to keep their stunning red carpet figures. Lance Armstrong used them to build up his strength after recovering from cancer, then went on to win the Tour de France seven times! OK, he may have had a little help elsewhere too! Hollywood stars needing to chisel themselves a little before that latest superhero role all include kettlebells as part of their plan. Chris Hemsworth got into them for playing Thor. Jason Statham uses them as a staple in his ever evolving training plan. One rule he uses is to “never repeat” and kettlebells are perfect for varying the combination mix.
How can The Kettlebell Guide help me?
When you purchase and download your copies of The Kettlebell Guide, you can start reading straight away. Through the unique mixture of images, text and live video you can see how to execute each kettlebell exercise correctly. Not just in terms of posture and grip; the video clips show you the speed at which you should work.
Issue 1 starts with the basic kettlebell moves, and as you build up your collection of The Kettlebell Guide you will be introduced to more complex exercises and techniques to get the most out of your kettlebell. We will highlight pitfalls and poor form, PLUS helpful tips from the UK’s first, modern kettlebell trainer, Stan Pike.
In addition to the exercises, The Kettlebell Guide will feature book reviews, extra equipment to enhance your workout, regular features from top trainers Jamie Lloyd and Paul Fallows, plus interviews from the top names in kettlebell training, sport and competition such as Steve Cotter and Rob Beauchamp.
